Potomac, MD

Calling all American Girl and Barbie lovers! Saturday is your chance to design and create runway-worthy fashions for your dolls. The event is 10am-2pm at the Potomac Rec Center. Tickets start at $70.

 

Arlington, VA

Discover the natural beauty of Arlington during a family-friendly scavenger hunt, Sunday at 2pm. Meet at Potomac Overlook Regional Park.

 

McLean, VA

Enjoy a free concert with Frontiers, a Journey tribute band, Sunday at 5pm at McLean Central Park Gazebo. 

 

Great Falls, VA

The Lake Anne Roots Music Festival is Saturday from 11am-8pm, featuring six bands, a wine and beer garden and TONS of family activities. Families with older children may also enjoy a 5-mile walk to and from the Wayside Overlook at 9am.

 

AU Park (DC)

Tenleytown’s Bastille Day Celebration is Saturday from 2pm-4pm. There’s something for everyone at this French-themed bash, including lawn games, crafts, music and crepes.

 

Alexandria, VA

Celebrate the nation and Alexandria’s birthdays with a HUGE party, including fireworks, a cannon salute and entertainment, from 7pm-10pm on Saturday at Oronoco Bay Park. 

 

Takoma Park, MD

The Takoma Park Farmer’s Market’s Garlic Festival is Sunday from 10am-2pm. Meet at Laurel and Carroll Avenues to learn about garlic and home-growing tips.

 

Silver Spring, MD

The free Silver Spring Arts & Crafts Fair is Sunday from 2pm-8pm at Veterans Plaza. Explore the works of 60 local artists while enjoying dance performances, food, crafts and family-fun activities. 

 

Fairfax, VA

Fairfax is hosting a Children’s Concert Thursday at the Veterans Amphitheater at 7:30pm. The event is free and will feature songs your littles know and love.

 

Vienna, VA

Kids LOVE Rocknceros, and this Friday they’ll be putting on a $5 concert for kids at Jammin’ Java in Vienna.
