From food to fun to tons of events and activities for families, there’s so much happening in the Chicago suburbs…


We love summer in the Chicago suburbs! Not only are there tons of activities for families, but this is a great time to get out and explore all of the must-see towns on your list. Want to check out additional Chicago suburbs? Get in touch and we’ll craft the perfect weekend in suburbia. 



Explore Hinsdale’s charming downtown and meet some locals Friday and Saturday during a town-wide sidewalk sale from 9am-5pm.



The Winnetka Farmers’ Market is Saturday at 7:30am at Winnetka Village Hall. There’s something for everyone, including live music, activities, artisanal cheese and pastries and local produce and flowers.



Bring your princesses and superheroes to Golf Mill Shopping Center on Saturday at 1pm for a fun-filled afternoon of themed activities. Admission is free.



The Wilmette French Market is the perfect place to shop for local fruit, produce and flowers and meet locals and farmers. The event is at the Village Center, Saturday from 8am-1pm.



Enjoy a concert under the stars at the Chicago Botanic Garden this Thursday. The event is free with garden admission, and picnic dinners are welcome.


La Grange

The 2019 La Grange Craft Fair is Friday, Saturday and Sunday on La Grange Road and Harris Avenue from 10am-5pm. Discover one-of-a-kind works from 200+ regional artists and activities for kids.


Highland Park

Spend a fun evening dancing and tasting local food trucks with the family every Thursday through September 12. The festivities take place at Jens Jensen Park from 6pm-8pm.


Glen Ellyn

It’s all about jazz in Glen Ellyn this weekend! Join the community for its 4th annual Jazz Festival, taking place downtown on Saturday at 1:30. Many local eateries will be open, plus picnics are welcome.



Share the hilarious stories of Junie B. Jones with your kids during a children’s musical Saturday at 10am. Tickets average $15.23.



The All Aboard! Train Adventure for Families is Friday at 10am. The event is free, but registration is required. The next day, celebrate summer with face painting, kids music, an obstacle course and other goodies at Northbrook Court from 11am-2pm. 



The Glenview Farmers’ Market is Saturday from 8am-12pm at Historic Wagner Farm. Here you’ll find fresh flowers, live entertainment, kids activities, local eggs and produce.
