Hit the Boston Suburbs This Weekend!

Just because we’re back to school doesn’t mean the weekend fun has to end…

 

School is back in session—and, now, the Boston suburbs are truly “back to life.” Now is the perfect time to check out these amazing towns like a real local, from amazing farmers markets to concerts to foodie fests and more.

Wayland

Wayland’s Beach Party is Saturday from 4:30pm-6:30pm. It’s free and includes live music, food trucks, a bubble show and activities for kids.

 

Concord

Pick sunflowers, take a hayride and play with animals at the petting zoo during Verrill Farm’s Farm Day Festival. It’s Saturday from 11am-3pm.

 

Hopkinton

Blooms, Brews & BBQs is taking place at Weston Nurseries from 11am-7pm on Saturday. Admission is $10, plus there will be a beer tent, food trucks and live music.

 

Sharon

Visit 23 Pleasant Street for a free, local concert on Sunday from 4pm-5pm. 

 

Hingham

Hingham Harbor Feast is 6:30pm-10:30pm on Saturday. The festivities include live music, local food vendors and family fun.

 

Winchester

Saturday is international day at the Winchester Farmers Market, open from 9:30am-1:30pm. There will be multicultural cuisine, performances and crafts.

 

Belmont

Saturday is Belmont Porchfest, featuring free concerts around town from 2:30pm-3:30pm. Don’t forget lawn chairs or blankets.

 

Arlington

Explore fire trucks, police cars and other equipment during Arlington’s Touch-A-Truck event on Sunday from 1pm-4pm.

 

Melrose

Melrose is hosting a Victorian Fair on Sunday from 11am-4pm. The festivities take place downtown, and include live music, performances, a raffle and local cuisine.

 

Reading

The Reading Fall Street Fair is from 12pm-5pm on Sunday. Explore the town firsthand while enjoying a children’s area, live music, dancing and more.

 

Swampscott

The Swampscott Arts & Craft Festival is Saturday and Sunday. It’s free and dogs are welcome.
