See a children’s play at the Puppet Showplace Theater this weekend. Buy tickets in advance; they’re $12.50.

Discover the Newton YMCA (and its awesome pool) for free this Saturday. 

 

Wellesley

Visit Weezie’s Garden at The Gardens at Elm Bank for family fun from 11am-11:30am on Saturday.

 

Westwood

Watch a movie under the stars at University Station on Wednesday at 7:45pm. This week’s film is “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

 

Arlington

Got a baby in tow? Head to the Capitol Theater in Arlington on Monday at 8am for Baby-Friendly Monday Matinees and meet fellow mamas.  

 

Ashland

The Ashland Farmers’ Market is Saturday from 9am-1pm, featuring local products, artisanal goods and kids activities.

 

Concord

Take a walking tour of Concord with chocolate shop Cocoa Beantown on Friday at 10:15am. Trust us, there will be plenty of sweet sampling.

 

Acton

Drop into Discovery Museum for Make a Mess: Foamy Fun from 11am-2pm on Saturday.

 

Chelmsford

Land’s Sake farmyard is open from 11am-1pm on Saturday. Stop by for stories, picking and outdoor fun, or head to Weston Nurseries with Fido for a dog-themed event at 10am.

 

Foxborough

Watch a children’s play based on “Mary Poppins” at 2pm on Thursday at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10.

 

Lexington

Watch a free concert in Lexington from 6:30pm-8:30pm on Monday. Don’t forget your blankets and chairs.

 

Marlborough

The Labor Day Weekend Greek Festival is Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-11pm and Monday from 12pm-5pm. There will be live music, dancing, cultural performances and Greek cuisine.
