Why These A-List Celebs are Heading to the NYC Suburbs

Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel & Adam Levine are Heading to the Suburbs!

For many city families, theshould we stay or should we godebate is a big, ongoing conversation. Should we give up the city for suburbia? The quick Uber ride for an hour on Metro-North? Central Park for backyards? Apartment living for, well, space?

But, increasingly, it seems like we’re not alone. More and more A-listers are ditching city life for the suburban experience. Last year, we got wind thatJustin Timberlake and Jessica Bielwere considering a move to the Norwalk, Connecticut area. They were ready to “slow things down a bit and get away from the crazy, hectic life in L.A.,” reported WLEB 21. The family had visited the Norwalk area a few times and said residents were “genuine and pretty friendly, too, and I think those are the things that are most important in deciding where to live.”

We couldn’t agree more. But, since that post, we haven’t heard much on the JT/JB front —until now.

Just days ago, residents in and around Rye, New York startedreporting sightingsof the famous couple, at a local ice cream shop and at the Whole Foods in nearby Port Chester. Reports several local news outlets, the family is renting a summer house in Rye on the Sound Shore — a $10.9 million property that, from the looks of Jessica’sInstagram, has an incredible backyard. Checking out suburbs in the summer is a great way to get to know the personality of a town first-hand — somethingwe shared earlier this summer. Based on their seasonal rental, we wouldn’t be surprised if they become apermanentfixture in Westchester…

The Biel-Timberlake family isn’t the only A-list crew heading the the NYC suburbs. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and his supermodel wife Behati Prinsloo are reportedly making abigmove from L.A. to theRoxbury, New Jerseyarea. Why the big move? With a new baby in tow, city dad Adam is ready for a change — just like countless families in NYC, L.A. and any other city on the map. “I’m just tired of the L.A. lifestyle,”he says, “and I feel like, at this point in my life, I’d rather just live in a place full of real, genuine people. I’ve been to Roxbury, New Jersey a couple of times over the years and the people there are real… they’re genuine…there are good, decent people and they care about their community. Those are the things I find most important in deciding where to live.”
