Learn about life as a pioneer during Pioneer Day at Crow Island Woods from 10am to 3pm on Sunday. Admission is free and includes wagon rides, games, live music, a petting zoo and more.

South Barrington

The Arboretum of South Barrington’s Art Festival is Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. There’s an art tent for kids and admission is free.

Lake Forest

Lake Forest’s Fall Festival is 3pm to 10pm on Saturday. Families will enjoy live music, inflatables, kids games and activities and more.

La Grange

Saturday is Batman Day at Chimera’s Comics. Batman will be on-site from 11am to 2pm to greet young fans.

Highland Park

Highland Park’s Oktoberfest is from 12pm to 10pm on Saturday. It’s free and features live music on multiple stages and kids’ attractions.

Lincolnshire

Didier Farms’ Pumpkinfest makes its 2019 debut on Saturday. Families will enjoy games, pig races, a petting zoo, kids rides and other festivities.

Go on an educational tree walk at Jewett Park on Saturday from 10am to 11pm.

The Glenview Farmers Market is open Saturday from 8am to 12pm. Afterward, head across the street to learn about Historic Wagner Farm.
