Walk along the trail and listen to a favorite children’s book!
Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown:The Hudson Valley’s very first corn festival is happening all Labor Day weekend! Enjoy games, cooking demos, a mini maze and more.
Katonah:The 26thannual Ladson Labor Day Antiques Fair will be in full swing all weekend long, with nearly 100 dealers, artisans, entertainment and more.
Larchmont:“The Song Sings Itself” will be open all Labor Day weekend at the Kenise Barnes Fine Art on Palmer Avenue. The exhibit features three new, acclaimed artists.
Pleasantville:The Pleasantville Farmers Market at Memorial Plaza is open Labor Day Saturday starting at 8:30AM. The market includes more than 50 vendors and plenty of locally grown goodies!
LONG ISLAND
Manhasset:The Knickerbocker Cup is happening all weekend long at the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club, with races Thursday through Sunday.
Old Bethpage:Enjoy popular music from the 1800s, learn traditional dancing and listen to an authentic Brass Military Band at the Old Time Music Weekend on Saturday and Sunday.East Meadow:Browse and purchase gifts and special treasures from local artists, crafters and vendors at the annual craft and gift show at Eisenhower Park.Roslyn Harbor:On Labor Day Sunday bring the whole gang to Family Sundays at the Nassau County Museum of Art for kid-friendly tours and hands-on art making.
Old Westbury:Enjoy “Riddle Me This,” an afternoon of garden detective work during this fun family scavenger hunt including riddles, pictographs and secrets of the land.
NEW JERSEY
Short Hills:Start the holiday weekend with Childsplayspot’s Science Play Day Event for children age 8+. The event is Friday at 1:00PM at the Mall at Short Hills and requires advance registration.
Mendham Borough:The annual borough Labor Day Parade kicks off at 10:00AM rain or shine, and runs down East Main Street through Mountain Avenue.
Patterson:The 22ndAnnual Labor Day Parade is happening Labor Day Sunday, and stretches from Haledon to the Great Falls Historic District beginning at 1:30PM.
Riverdale:On Labor Day Riverdale will again host its annual street fair and festival, with 100+ exhibitors, rides, food, live music and family-friendly activities all day long.
Maplewood:On Saturday head to Express Yourself Studios for a Family Fun Night of Art beginning at 4:00PM. Paint, eat pizza and spend time creating as a family!
Point Pleasant Beach:Movies on the Beach at Dark is screeningThe Amazing Spider-Manfor free at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk on Friday night. Bring a blanket, snacks and your family!
CONNECTICUT
Darien:Spend Labor Day weekend strolling the Darien Farmers Market at the Goodwives Shopping Center. Vendors include Gazy Brothers Farm, Goat Boy Soaps and more.
Westport:The 6thAnnual Blues, Views & BBQ Festival is Labor Day Saturday and Sunday, all day each day. Admission includes live music, a Kids Corral, food demos, entertaining and tons of BBQ!
Mystic:Mystic will again host its annual Labor Day Weekend Show with more than 60 exhibitors and artists. The event is free and happening all weekend long!
Greenwich:The Greenwich Polo Club is hosting a luncheon and polo match on Sunday beginning at 12:30PM, to benefit Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities (ECAD).
Ridgefield:Labor Day weekend kicks off with Dave Koz & Friends’ Summer Horn Tour 2013, debuting songs from their upcoming album. Enjoy the music, plus wine and cheese tastings.
