Learn to make your own cider at Locust Grove from 10am-11am on Saturday. This event is ideal for ages 2 and up.

The Romanian Food Festival is happening Friday through Sunday from 5pm-7pm. Enjoy one of DC’s oldest festivals and attractions, and tons of amazing food and drinks.
Arlington, VA
ValleyFest, a street festival celebrating Arlington, takes place on Sunday. There will be a kids’ zone, food trucks, live music and plenty of local artists to inspire your whole crew.
Sterling, VA
Celebrate fall with the Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum during its Autumn Apple Festival on Saturday. There will be a moon bounce, face painting, carnival games and more.
AU Park (DC)
Explore Valley Stream Park flanking AU Park’s western border. The park is open from sunrise to sunset this weekend. Go for a stroll and check out the local playground.
Palisades (DC)
The Kreeger Museum is offering storytime and a workshop for ages 3-5 on Saturday from 10am-11am. Admission is $10 per child.
Georgetown (DC)
Go on a historic walking tour of Georgetown on Saturday at 10:30am. You’ll discover the neighborhood’s incredible past while tasting local treats and snacks.
Alexandria, VA
Crabtoberfest is 1pm-5pm on Sunday at the Northside 10 Parking Lot. Crabs must be ordered in advance. They’ll also be streaming NFL games in addition to live music onsite.
Rockville, MD
Enjoy Oktoberfest at 7 Locks Brewing on Saturday from 3pm-8pm. There will be German food, beer, live music and craft vendors all afternoon long.
