“This is usually the time of year that people get moving on their [suburban] town search,” Suburban Jungle Founder & President Alison Bernstein, explained toThe New York Post.“But in the last month, we have seen an unprecedented surge. We are close to a 4o percent increase from last year. People are very nervous. They feel stuck.”

While some families initially intended to leave the city temporarily, many are enjoying life in the ‘burbs and, now, are considering making the leap permanently.
