Father’s Day is this Sunday — and our team is counting down. See how our Strategists will be celebrating this weekend, including some must-see spots to explore as you’re touring the ‘burbs.
“My husband loves to trail run so he’s going to run the Dipsea Trail to Stinson beach. I’ll drive there with the kids and meet him at the beach, then we’ll grab lunch from Parkside Cafe. Not sure exactly what next, but we’ll definitely be home in time for dinner at the Bungalow Kitchen, right on the water. It’s one of Michael Mina’s new restaurants and I’ve been trying to get reservations there for months.”
Pamela Goldman, Head San Francisco Strategist
“We almost always hit up a U-Pick spot — blackberries are in season now! — and then head to brunch.”
Stephanie Kelmar, San Francisco Strategist
“A great Father’s Day? Start with a family hike through Noanet Woodlands in Dover. After that, refuel and listen to live music at Lookout Farm in South Natick or Morses Pond in Wellesley. Then, we love Fells Market to close out Father’s Day. If you go, try the BBQ steak tips. They’re fantastic!”
Barbara Hirsch, Head Boston Strategist
“My husband is golfing at our country club in the morning, then we’re meeting him for lunch. After that, we’ll head home to hang with family, BBQ, and swim.”
Robin Hoberman, NYC Strategist
“While it’s not on Sunday, there is a classic car appreciation event in Downtown Delray that we are heading to this weekend. It’s a community event open to the public and it’s free! On Father’s Day, I’m attempting to make Father’s Day brunch happen. He’s the griller but salads are my jam — so brunch is going to be an assortment of summer salads. To secure the freshest ingredients, I am going to a local shop in Delray Beach called The Boys Farmers Market. They have an amazing selection of fruits, vegetables, cheese and seafood.”
Melissa Schneider, Head Florida Strategist
Lauren Lake, Head Cleveland Strategist
“We’re heading to the Winnetka Music Festival — it’s going to be HUGE this year! We’re also planning a beach day this week. Can’t wait!”
Heather Jagher, Head Chicago Strategist
“A hike and BBQ! Check out Temescal Canyon Park — it’s a favorite for Father’s Day.”
Bree Rotter, Head Southern California Strategist
“We’re going to a baseball game! The Rough Riders play in Frisco — they’re a Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. It’s going be a great day — it’s Father’s Day, they’re hosting a Kids Sunday Funday, and there’s a Juneteenth celebration, all happening at the park.”
