HEADING TO WESTCHESTER?
Chappaqua
Take a cooking class for kids ages 3-6 at Whole Foods on Friday at 10am. Participants will learn how to make healthy after-school snacks, just in time for back to school.

Oakland Beach’s End of Summer Festival is Saturday and Sunday at 10am. There will be a craft fair and lots of fun for families. Also, Rye Playland is offering $20 admission on Labor Day.
Rye Brook
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock with a family-friendly concert on Friday at 7pm at the Jay Heritage Center. Blankets and chairs are welcome.
Armonk
The Hudson Valley Oyster Festival is Saturday at 10am. There will be oyster-eating concerts, oysters prepared every way, live music and free admission for kids 10 and under.
Bedford
Make your own ice cream at Sugar Hill Farm on Saturday from 10am-1pm. This event is free.
Katonah
Visit John Jay Homestead Friday or Saturday for tons of family fun. Play Days is from 12pm-2pm on Friday, while the Farm Market is 10am-12pm on Saturday. Thematic tours are available both days.
Nyack
Revel in the magic of Circus TA-DA! On Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Nyack. Tickets are $15-$22.
Larchmont
Enjoy a $3 yoga session with the kids at Lincoln Park’s organic garden at 10am on Saturday. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Mamaroneck
Mamaroneck Library is hosting a free storytime at 11am on Saturday that’s followed by a craft.
Scarsdale/Edgemont
Feed the animals at the Greenburgh Nature Center and learn how to care for them on Sunday from 1pm-2pm. This event is $8 for non-members.
Ardsley
Learn how to make balloon animals during a free workshop at the Ardsley Public Library from 3pm-4pm on Friday. The session is ideal for kids ages 4-10.
Pleasantville
Discover the beauty of Westchester County during the Pleasantville Farmers Market on Saturday. It takes place from 8:30am-1pm and is set in the heart of the historic village of Pleasantville.
Ossining
Ossining Food Truck Fridays is happening Friday at 5pm. The event takes place at Louis Engel Waterfront Park and includes a free concert featuring Marc Von Em.
HEADING TO LONG ISLAND?
Roslyn
Enjoy a quiet Sunday with the family at the Nassau County Museum of Art. The museum offers family tours at 1pm, followed by crafts for kids from 1:30pm-4pm.
Port Washington
The 1st Multicultural Festival of Art & Culture is Saturday from 10am-6pm at North Hempstead Beach Park. Artists from Cuba, Honduras, Mexico and other nations will be sharing their cultures via live music and performances.
Sea Cliff
Spend Labor Day weekend swimming, picnicking and kayaking at the Harry Tappen Pool, Beach and Marina. The park features a saltwater pool ($16/adults) and an on-site restaurant offering Labor Day specials.
Manhasset
The Manhasset Barnes & Noble is featuring a free storytime for kids at 11am on Saturday. This week’s reading is “A Tale of Two Tribes: A Wetmore Forest Story.”

Chatham
Watch a movie under the stars at The Villa at Florham at 7:45pm on Thursday. This week’s showing is “A Dog’s Purpose” and food and ice cream will be available for sale.
West Orange
Thursday is family night at the Turtle Back Zoo. The zoo will be open until 8pm.
Westfield
The Annual Labor Day Italian Feast is Friday from 4:30pm-10:30pm in Scotch Plains. Families will enjoy Italian cuisine, live music, games and rides.
Montclair
Make a craft with the kids during a special arts and crafts session at Hamilton House on Saturday from 10am-12pm. Admission is $3/child.
South Orange
Enjoy live music under the stars in South Orange on Friday or Saturday evening from 7pm-10pm.
Demarest
Pick peaches and nectarines at Demarest Farms from 10am-3pm on Saturday or Sunday. Admission is $5, parking is free and the farm has a petting zoo and other attractions for kids.

Maplewood is known for its beautiful homes and Porchfest is a great opportunity to see them — and meet the locals — firsthand. The festivities kick off at 12pm on Sunday at DeHart Park and wander through the neighborhood of Hilton until 5pm.
Summit
The Summit Farmer’s Market is from 8am-1pm on Sunday. Don’t forget your reusable bag.

Westport
The Blues and Views Festival is Saturday and Sunday from 11am-9pm. Families can access the Jesup Jam for a discounted rate of $15 and children 12 and under are free.
Darien
There’s something for everyone at Cove Island Park this weekend, including playgrounds, a 1-mile trail, a concession stand, picnic areas and a beautiful field for flying kites.
Greenwich
Learn about Connecticut critters at the Bruce Museum at 2pm and 2:30pm on Sunday.
New Canaan
Bethel’s Holiday Weekend Craft Festival is Sunday from 11am-5pm. Admission is free.

The St. Leo Fair is Tuesday-Friday from 6pm-11pm and Saturday from 2pm-11pm. Enjoy awesome local food, raffles, rides, live entertainment, bingo and more.
Norwalk/Rowayton
Go backstage at The Maritime Museum at 10:30am on Sunday to see how the staff feeds the sharks and cares for animals. Tickets are $12/adults and $8/children.
