For more than two decades, Kelly has been helping friends discover Atlanta. Now she’s bringing her experience to the Suburban Jungle team.
Kelly originally grew up in Queens and started her career in Manhattan. At 23 she needed a change – so she made the move to Atlanta. Fast forward to today and Kelly and her family live in Sandy Springs, a suburb just north of Atlanta. Since moving to the Atlanta area, Kelly has helped many friends move to town.
“I have actually been referred to as the welcoming committee and have played host to a lot of new Atlantans,” she says.
This experience made Kelly realize that joining the Suburban Jungle team as a Strategist would be a perfect fit.
“I built this Rolodex over the years that is pretty extensive – I should make use of it!” she says. “I can’t wait to get started.”
Atlanta’s Unique Appeal
While Atlanta is a major market, Kelly explains, the suburbs still feel like tight-knit communities.
“Everybody’s so neighborly,” she says. And when a new person moves in there are cookies at the doorstep – always.”
In addition to the charm and Southern hospitality, Kelly adds, there’s always something going on.
“Atlanta is made up of tons of smaller communities,” Kelly says. “Most neighborhoods have swim and tennis clubs. There is always something to do here – I think that surprises a lot of people, especially people moving here from larger cities around the country.”
People are also surprised at how much is happening in the Atlanta suburbs. While the city is packed with dining, entertainment, sports, and more, the ‘burbs still hold their own.
“We have no shortage of shopping and so many incredible restaurants,” Kelly says. “There’s an incredible amount of international food, mom-and-pop shops, boutiques… you name it. It’s all right here – and, unlike many other metro markets, this area is still very affordable. You don’t have to spend a million dollars to get a new, 5,000 square foot home,” she says.
Helping Clients Explore the Atlanta Suburbs
Kelly has spent years connecting friends and neighbors within the Atlanta community. During this time, she’s seen the suburbs take off, and has gotten to know the ins and outs of the different neighborhoods.
“There’s new construction constantly,” she says. “These live-work-play types of places are popping up. But no matter what you’re looking for, there’s a suburb for you.”
And now, with the launch of Suburban Jungle’s Atlanta office, she’s here to help people find that perfect hometown.
“I’m a connector,” Kelly says. “I know everyone – and, I joke, if I don’t know them, I know someone who knows them! I can’t wait to show you my Atlanta!”
